What can you use the app for?

Email has become a very popular way to send and share documents. Zoho Viewer was created to make document sharing even easier. Rather than send a document as an attachment to an email message, the user can instead upload it to Zoho Viewer. After uploading, the application provides the user with a URL that they can use to share the document with others. The URL can also be posted to blogs and forums. The process is very easy and pain free. The user doesn’t even have to sign up or sign in to Zoho to use it. Zoho Viewer supports many commonly used file types, including Microsoft Office’s .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx, .ppt, .pps, .pptx and OpenOffice’s .sxw, .sxc, .sxi along with .wpd, .pdf, .rtf, .txt, .html, .csv and .tsv.

How does the web app look and feel to use?

Zoho Viewer takes on the same design and color scheme of other Zoho products. Zoho Viewer is much the same, with a light blue box to highlight the actual application. The design is very neat and clean with absolutely no clutter.

How does the registration process work?

One of the benefits of using Zoho Viewer is that the application does not require a log in. As soon as the user arrives on the homepage, they can access the uploader, add their document and generate a URL. Users can choose to register for a Zoho account if they want. It comes in handy when accessing the company’s other applications. This can be done by clicking the blue “Zoho home” link at the top, right hand corner of the Zoho Viewer homepage. A dark red button that reads “Sign up for Free” can be found along the right hand side of the following page. This directs the user to the registration form which requires a username, email address, password and word verification. The user must also check the terms of service and privacy policy box at the bottom of the form.

Anyone can use Zoho Viewer for free. There are no subscription fees or other costs associated with the application. Users can upload documents of up to 10 MBs each to create URLs for quick sharing.
